Not much to report about this day. We got up, had breakfast,
and then met Alex in the lobby who took us to the car where a driver took
us to the Paris De Gaulle Airport for our journey back home. I thought
the screening processes in America were obnoxious, but in comparison to
Paris, it was a breeze. I don't know why, but I got past security
rather promptly, but they searched every last thing that Amber was carrying
with her. They also frisked us both (and this is well after the metal
detector.) Getting back to the US was so obnoxious that it's going
to be a while before I'll want to go outside of our borders again.
During the flight back we apperently took the way northern route, because there was ice and snow as far as you could see. There was also a lightning storm that we flew over somewhere in the southwest US, I tried to get a picture or video of the lightning, but failed horribly. |
