David's Journal:

“Erin Go Braugh” means “Ireland Forever” in Irish.  A fairly uneventful day when we leave Ireland to return to the US.

The trip from Ireland to New York was uneventful and fairly easy.  However, the trip from New York to LA was horrible.  I have already contacted my travel agent and told her to never to let us go through JFK airport again.  Apparently it’s not important which plane they put your luggage on, as long as the plane they put it on is heading to the same destination.  So even though our flight was delayed by over 3 hours, our luggage was delayed another hour.  They even had the worlds slowest McDonalds there, it took them 20 minutes to get our food from the time we ordered.

Amber's Journal:

Word of the Day—Erin Go Bragh, or “Ireland forever”.

Departure day.  With hugs from our new friends, and our little leprechaun guides, we were packed off to Shannon airport to begin the long, long, long trip home.  It’s a 12 or so hour trip home, and surprisingly tiring.  We had a layover in JFK airport which we have decided is the world’s worst airport with the world’s worst McDonalds.  It took twenty minutes just to get two burgers and fries, and we sat for ninety minutes on the runway waiting to take off!
