Amber's Journal: Day 8

Today was mostly a travel day.  Naturally we started off with a leisurely graze in the breakfast buffet--the hotels we stayed at this trip had EPIC buffets that offered everything from doughnuts to fresh sushi for breakfast.

Our day featured a relaxing bit of tai chi to begin the day--we learned lovely calming exercise moves just in time to encounter another Chinese airport!

At this point in time...we were Shanghaied! (Hehe) We arrived at Shanghai that afternoon and had a short drive around town before getting to our hotel.  Shanghai is very cosmopolitan, very European-y and quite elegant.

Our hotel here was so slick we had to attend a little class on how to use everything!  If that hotel was any more technological I'm pretty sure an electric sheep or a simulant would be provided--the town at night is really Blade Runner!  Everything is very neon, very glowing--and totally looks like it could be a movie set!
