Day 5 - The day we get Capri-cious!

Today we laid back a little and relaxed a bit from our mad pace! Our bus ride of the day look us along the shoreline-more deep cliffs and glittering blue ocean, but what should pop into our view but Mount Vesuvius guarding the bay? I admit to eyeing it closely, looking for any signs of eruption should it decide to attack the Bay of Naples. Fortunately it behaved, so off to a cute little Italian farm we went! A couple members of our tour decided that this was the place for them! They said "Just go on with the tour and leave us here!" It really was an idyllic little farm, very charming with a few horses, pigs, chickens and green fields.

We were greeted with wine and snacks, got to see how mozzarella cheese is made, then we got to make our own Margerita pizzas-tomato sauce, basil, and the fresh mozzarella. We also tasted the local hooch-a rather strong liquor called Limoncello. This stuff will clean your clock, pick your pocket, strip varnish and leave you grinning like a fool. It's not bad but it packs a mighty wallop and is for that reason served in thimbly sized cups!

After the farm, we hopped on a little speedboat for a lovely tour around the Island of Capri. Thanks be to my Scopomine patch the bouncy little boat ride was amazingly fun! The rocks are craggy and gorgeous, the sea is an unparalleled blue, and it's a place of beauty. We took a little dip and more members of the tour said "Yup, this is the place for me, just leave me here!" After a bit of shopping, home to the ship again we went!
